Pineland, TX (March 2024) – The City of Pineland announces the acquisition of new police vehicles and a new fire apparatus. The police vehicles are replacing units that served the city for a combined fifteen years, and the new apparatus is replacing a tanker acquired in 2003. The police vehicles are anticipated to arrive in the summer of 2024, and the tanker’s delivery is scheduled for January of 2025. Partial funding for the fire apparatus is provided by a grant from the Texas Forest Service, and the remaining acquisition costs were financed by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
“The City of Pineland first partnered with Government Capital in the summer of 2023, and our positive experience with them made it easy to come back,” stated DeWayne Armstrong, City Administrator, City of Pineland. “Gov Cap’s expertise made the financing process easy and straightforward. It was phenomenal working with their team.”
“I want to congratulate DeWayne Armstrong and the City of Pineland on their fleet updates,” commented Cody Thomas, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We take great pride in partnering with Texas cities to achieve their goals and objectives to best serve their communities.”
