Marcola, OR (March 2023) – Marcola School District announces the completion of a new transportation facility, a meaningful step toward self-sufficiency for the rural school district. The “bus barn” is built on the land known as “The Farm” which is used by the district’s agriculture program. The original plan for the facility was formed in 2019 after the district completed the transaction for “The Farm,” however, the timing was not yet right for the project to begin. Three years later, with the community’s support, the district was ready to build the facility. Construction was completed in March 2023, and financing for both “The Farm” and the “bus barn” were provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
“Having partnered together on multiple projects since 2015, Government Capital Corporation has always been a huge support to us,” commented Terry Augustadt, Superintendent, Marcola School District. “When our project turned out to be over our budget, Gov Cap came to our rescue. This is a great example of just-in-time lending.”
“I would like to congratulate Superintendent Terry Augustadt and the Marcola School District Board on completing the new transportation facility,” stated Stephanie Cates, Vice President, Government Capital Corporation. “We take great pride in assisting Oregon schools in achieving their goals and objectives.”
