Cuero, TX (October 2023) – The City of Cuero announces the acquisition of dozens of new vehicles for multiple city departments including Emergency Services, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation. The fleet includes new vehicles to accommodate substantial growth of the city as well as replacements for outdated models. Due to newly available funds, the city had the opportunity to undertake the fleet update project. The updates will allow the city to begin its Vehicle Replacement Cycle with a fresh inventory. Delivery of the vehicles has begun and is anticipated to continue throughout the next 12 months. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
“Having partnered with Government Capital since 2015, we had a great experience turning to the team once again,” stated Connie Hawes, Finance Director, City of Cuero. “They were able to extend our rate-lock in a rising interest rate market, and their experience and expertise were evident throughout the project.”
“I want to congratulate Connie Hawes and the City of Cuero on their vehicle fleet updates,” commented Matt Sullivan, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We take great pride in assisting Texas cities in meeting their goals and objectives.”
