Seminole, TX (December 2023) – The City of Seminole announces the implementation of a city-wide water meter replacement project. The new meters will allow the city to recapture water loss and quickly address leakages as they arise. The city selected Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters to help track real-time consumption and allow customers the ability to access their data online. The 3,300 meters are on order and are expected to arrive by the end of this month from Premier Waterworks. Installation is anticipated to be completed by February 2024, and financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
“Having partnered with Government Capital in the past, we were glad to work with them again for this project,” stated Mary Furlow, City Administrator, City of Seminole. “They had much of our necessary documentation on file allowing for a quick and seamless funding, and their expertise was evident throughout the process.”
“I want to congratulate Mary Furlow and the City of Seminole on the implementation of this important project,” commented Cody Thomas, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We are proud to assist Texas cities in meeting their goals and objectives.”
