WILLOW PARK TO UPGRADE WATER METERS

City of Willow Park, Texas (April 2021) – The City of Willow Park is announcing the upgrade of 2,020 water meters and the related Automatic Meter Infrastructure.  The project is underway and is scheduled to be completed in the next few months.  “This upgrade will allow meters to be read and monitored in real time by the user and the city, stated Bryan Grimes, Willow Park City Administrator.  “These smart meters will quickly detect leaks and high-volume water use allowing for more efficiency and conservation while improving service to our customers.”  Project design and installation was provided by Aqua Metric Sales Company, Selma, Texas. Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas was selected as the most cost-effective financing solution.

ONO ISLAND WATER, SEWER AND FIRE PROTECTION AUTHORITY ANNOUNCE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FIRE STATION

Ono Island Water, Sewer & Fire Protection Authority, AL (March 2021) – The Ono Island Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority recently approved the construction of a new fire station on River Road in Orange Beach, Alabama. Construction of the fire station is expected to be completed in the next 9-12 months.  The 5,883 square foot station will include 2 apparatus bays, 6 dorm rooms, an office, an EMS Room, kitchen and living area as well as a training room.  McCollough Architecture, Orange Beach, Alabama was selected to provide the architectural design for the project.  MW Rogers Construction Company LLC, Mobile, Alabama will serve as the general contractor. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas. Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, Mobile, Alabama, served as bond counsel and provided all documentation and requisite legal opinion.

CITY OF POST INSTALLS WATER EQUIPMENT UPGRADES

The City of Post, TX (January 2021) – The City of Post announces the recent acquisition of AMI water meters and maintenance equipment upgrades.  The AMI water meter project includes the installation of 1,692 water meters and is scheduled to be completed in March.   The water system design and implementation were provided by KW Sharp, Lubbock, Texas.  Upgrades also included a John Deer 2010D E Four Tire Ejector Scraper, a BOMAG Landfill Compactor as well as a John Deer 524L Wheel Loader, all provided by Yellow House Machinery Company, Lubbock, Texas.  “The upgrade in the water meters will allow the city to accurately and more efficiently provide service to customers, stated Deana Smith.  “The heavy equipment was purchased to replace outdated and aged equipment.”

CITY OF BONHAM ANNOUNCES WATER METER AND ENERGY CONSERVATION PROJECT

Bonham, TX (November 2020) – The City of Bonham announces the purchase of new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) water meters and energy conservation equipment. This project includes the installation of 3,300 new automatic reader water meters as well as LED lighting retrofits, AC unit replacement and SCBA tank compressors.  With implementation already underway the project is expected to be completed in April 2021.  Ameresco, Inc. was selected to provide project design and installation services.  Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

TOWN OF RICHLAND UPGRADES WATER METERS

The Town of Richland, NY (November 2020) – The Town of Richland announces the purchase of an AMI meter reading system including 1,000 Stealth Radio MIU Transmitters to retrofit all current bronze meters.  Implementation of this project has begun and is scheduled to be completed in June 2021.  “This upgrade will greatly enhance reporting efficiencies and allow meters to be read and monitored from a central location,” stated Daniel Krupke, Town Supervisor. “The result is the utility will operate more efficiently while improving service to our customers.”  Zenner USA provided the metering solution and Blair Supply Corporation is providing the project design and installation.  Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas provided the financing for the project.

TOWN OF WHITE CASTLE UPGRADES WATER METERS

The Town of White Castle, LA (September 2020) – The Town of White Castle announces the upgrade of 750 water meters and the related Automatic Meter Infrastructure. The installation was completed in early July 2020.  “This upgrade will allow meters to be read and monitored from a central location,” stated John Morris III, Mayor. “The result is the utility will operate more efficiently while improving service to our customers.”  Core & Main provided the metering solution including project design and installation.  Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas provided the financing for the project.
