Caney Creek Municipal Utility District Announces Meter Infrastructure Upgrades

August 14, 2026

Sargent, TX (August 2026) – Caney Creek Municipal Utility District announces the implementation of a new AMI system. The District began the project to address constituent desires for an upgraded water metering system that will allow for the timely identification and recapture of water loss as well as increased efficiency for the District. The first phase of the installation has been completed, updating 280 meters. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.

City of Ville Platte Announces City-Wide Utility Meter Upgrades

August 6, 2025

Ville Platte, Louisiana (August 2025) – The City of Ville Platte announces city-wide upgrades to their water and gas metering system. The city’s previous system had been in place for fifteen years, and the smart meter technology was failing and causing inaccurate billing. The upgrade will replace all utility meters city-wide and install three base stations with antennas and repeaters throughout the city to communicate meter data.

Baton Rouge WinWater provided the equipment for the project and is in the process of installing the 3,500 water meters. The city is currently installing the 1,120 gas meters. The project is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2026. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation of Southlake, TX.

City of Scottsville Announces Updates on Public Works Projects

City of Scottsville logoScottsville, KY (October 2024) – The City of Scottsville announces the acquisition of a Hydro Excavator, expected to arrive in October, for the city’s Lead Water Line Service project. Additionally, the city is nearing completion of a city-wide Smart Water Meter Project replacing over 2,500 meters which began in the summer of 2022. The water meter project was partially funded through grant proceeds, and both projects received financing from Government Capital Corporation of Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF McCAMEY ANNOUNCES INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADE PROJECT

The new meters will allow the city to identify and recapture water loss in a timely manner. The city has begun the accompanying software upgrade which will provide increased efficiency in gathering data, and installation of the meters is anticipated to begin in March 2024. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF LANETT ANNOUNCES WATER METER UPGRADES

The new meters will allow the city to recapture water loss with greater accuracy. System design and installation of the new meters is provided by Consolidated Pipe. The project is anticipated to be completed by March 2024. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

D&M WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION ANNOUNCES WATER METER UPGRADES

The 2,300 new meters feature radio-read technology allowing for increased efficiency in both manpower and service. Installation of the meters began in November and is anticipated to be completed by the end of this month.
