HAWLEY ISD ANNOUNCES FACILITY RENOVATION AND EXPANSION

Hawley ISD logoHawley, TX (October 2024) – Hawley ISD announces the implementation of a renovation and expansion project to the district’s physical education building. When the district’s previous gymnasium, built in the 1930s, could no longer adequately serve the growing student population, physical education classes temporarily moved to a renovated cafeteria space.

Now, through financing provided by Government Capital combined with the district’s project funds, Hawley ISD is beginning the renovation and expansion of the old gymnasium. The use of the old facility allows the district to retain a historic community symbol while providing a state-of-the-art learning environment for students for years to come.

CHATTANOOGA PUBLIC SCHOOLS ANNOUNCES BUS ACQUISITION

Chattanooga Public Schools logoChattanooga, OK (August 2024) – Chattanooga Public Schools announces the addition of a new school bus to the district’s fleet. The new bus will be used daily to transport students to the Career Technology Center. It will also be used to transport athletic teams and FFA students to events. The district anticipates receiving the bus from Ross Transportation in October, and financing for the acquisition was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.

AXTELL ISD ANNOUNCES TECHNOLOGY ACQUISITION

This acquisition includes the latest Chromebooks, iPads, and various accessories needed for online testing and coursework. The technology, purchased from Black Rock Technology Group, is being implemented as the new school year begins. Financing for the acquisition was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.

DEKALB ISD NEARS COMPLETION OF FACILITY EXPANSION

DeKalb, TX (August 2024) – In early 2022, DeKalb ISD began an addition to the high school’s gymnasium. The primary focus of the expansion was to provide locker room space for visiting teams, girls’ athletics, and boys’ basketball. Additional features include coaches’ offices, a large classroom, a dedicated laundry room, and a large storage area. As construction costs for the project increased, the school board approved a partnership with Government Capital to finance the completion of the expansion. The district anticipates concluding the project by December 2024 and opening the space to students the following spring semester.

The new bus was delivered in the Spring of 2024 and is replacing one that served the district for thirteen years. COLMESNEIL ISD LAUNCHES FACILITY RENOVATIONS

Colmesneil ISD logoColmesneil, TX (June 2024) – Colmesneil ISD has begun a renovation project to the district’s Career and Technology Center (CTC). The building became unusable after a lightning strike damaged the electrical system causing classes to temporarily relocate to the district’s maintenance building. The renovations to the CTC will begin with replacing the electrical system followed by the installation of six welding booths. The renovated facility will also contain updated classroom, project, and office spaces.

Construction is projected to begin by the start of the summer, and the district anticipates completing instruction space by the beginning of the new school year. Financing for the project is being provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
