ORANGE COUNTY ESD 2 ACQUIRES NEW APPARATUS AND DISPATCH SYSTEM

May 9, 2023

Bridge City, Texas (May 2023) – Orange County ESD 2 announces the acquisition of a new fire truck and radio dispatch system. The apparatus is replacing an engine that served the district for over 20 years and will be joining a fleet of 10 other fire apparatus and three support vehicles. The radio system and accompanying equipment will be replacing a system from the 1980s that was donated to the district after Hurricane Ike struck in 2008. The district serves as the dispatch center for eight departments, so the new equipment will provide both the district and its partners with a more reliable and current communication system. The apparatus was purchased from Deep South Fire trucks, and the dispatch equipment is being provided by Motorola. Financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

Orange County Emergency Services District No. 2 serves 87 square miles on the east Texas border. The team is comprised of 36 volunteer firefighters as well as a full-time Chief, Assistant Chief, the administrative team, and the dispatch team. CITY OF DERIDDER ACQUIRES NEW FIRE APPARATUS

March 29, 2023

DeRidder, LA (March 2023) – The City of DeRidder announces the acquisition of three new Rosenbauer Custom Pumpers. The new engines will replace models from the current fleet that have served the city for a combined 75 years. “These trucks are special because everyone in the department had input in their customization,” stated Fire Chief Ken Harlow. “Every city has different needs, and we had the opportunity to select the specifications that best serve our community and our department.” The apparatus are supplied by Bonaventure Fire & Safety and are anticipated to arrive at the beginning of 2024. The engines were acquired with funds from the American Rescue Plan Act and with financing by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

NEDERLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ACQUIRES NEW PUMPER APPARATUS

Nederland FPD logoNederland, CO (March 2023) – Nederland Fire Protection District announces the acquisition of a new Pierce Saber 4X4 pumper fire truck. The new apparatus will replace a 27-year-old engine as the first step in the district’s new Vehicle Replacement Plan. The plan involves replacing thirteen vehicles in the district’s fleet over the next eighteen years. The truck was purchased from Front Range Fire Apparatus, and financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF FERRIS ACQUIRES NEW FIRE APPARATUSES

The new vehicles will be able to carry a combined 1,400 gallons of water and eight firefighters. “The addition of these vehicles will significantly bolster the response for the City of Ferris and our surrounding communities by allowing us to respond to multiple or simultaneous emergencies,” stated Fire Chief Brian Horton, “The new trucks will also serve as backup when other fleet vehicles are receiving scheduled maintenance. I want to extend a huge thank you to the Ferris City Council and the City of Ferris Administration for their forward thinking throughout the procurement process.” The trucks will be delivered by Siddons Martin in twenty-four months, and financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF GONZALES ACQUIRES NEW FIRE TRUCK

December 21, 2022

Gonzales, TX (December 2022) – The City of Gonzales announces the acquisition of a new fire truck. The new vehicle is replacing an engine in the 10-vehicle fleet that has served the city since 2008. “Everyone’s really excited for the new engine,” stated Fire Chief Wade Zella of his 42-man crew. Chief Zella has served with the Gonzales Fire Department since 1998, working his way from volunteer to Chief. The fire truck will be delivered by Siddons Martin in 24 months, and financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF BOGALUSA RECEIVES NEW FIRE TRUCK

September 27, 2022

Bogalusa, LA (September 2022) – The City of Bogalusa announces the delivery of a new front line fire truck. The new vehicle was delivered on August 4th and replaced an outdated engine which was in service for over 27 years. Ferrara Fire Apparatus supplied the truck and related equipment. Financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
