Ferris, TX (December 2022) – The City of Ferris announces the acquisition of a new fire engine and a new brush truck. The new vehicles will be able to carry a combined 1,400 gallons of water and eight firefighters. “The addition of these vehicles will significantly bolster the response for the City of Ferris and our surrounding communities by allowing us to respond to multiple or simultaneous emergencies,” stated Fire Chief Brian Horton, “The new trucks will also serve as backup when other fleet vehicles are receiving scheduled maintenance. I want to extend a huge thank you to the Ferris City Council and the City of Ferris Administration for their forward thinking throughout the procurement process.” The trucks will be delivered by Siddons Martin in twenty-four months, and financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.
