BUSHLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AWARDS ROOFING UPGRADES

November 17, 2023

Bushland, TX (October 2023) – Bushland Independent School District recently awarded a district-wide roofing replacement project to Coryell Roofing. The project will focus on replacing storm-damaged roofs across multiple facilities throughout the district’s campuses. Construction will begin on the first of November and will be completed by Christmas. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.

FLOWER MOUND PUBLIC SCHOOL ANNOUNCES CAMPUS UPDATES

November 13, 2023

Lawton, OK (October 2023) – Flower Mound Public School announces the opening of their new Early Childhood Center and the completion of various roofing upgrades throughout the campus. Furnishing of the Early Childhood Center was completed in the early fall, allowing classes to begin in late October, and playground equipment will be installed by the end of November. The campus-wide roofing replacement is a welcome upgrade to the district. The buildings previously had shingled roofs that frequently required costly repairs due to hail and wind damage. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.

HAMILTON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT ACQUIRES OFFICE BUILDING

October 25, 2023

Hamilton, TX (September 2023) – The Hamilton Central Appraisal District (Hamilton CAD) announces the acquisition of an office building to house the CAD’s future operations. The facility is currently undergoing renovations to meet ADA requirements and to provide a lobby for guests. Having been in the current building for over thirty years, the Hamilton CAD team is looking forward to moving into the updated facility by the end of 2023. Financing for the acquisition and facility improvements, including creation of the conduit financing structure, was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.

CITY OF BROWNSVILLE ANNOUNCES RECREATION CENTER REMODEL

July 11, 2023

Brownsville, OR (July 2023) – The City of Brownsville has begun construction on its community recreation center renovations. The improvements to the facility, built in 1927, include bringing the building up to code, adding safety measures, and refreshing the interior. One of the biggest phases of the project will be replacing the gym floor.

The facility, originally built as the gymnasium for the city’s high school, has acted as the community’s recreation center since 1981. The Central Linn Recreation Association has served as a local partner providing sports and youth programs for Brownsville and the surrounding communities.

Interior demolition of the building concluded last month, and the improvements are expected to be completed by the end of September 2023. The architect for the project is Wood Block Architecture from Portland, OR, and construction is being managed by J. E. John Construction from Vancouver, WA. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation from Southlake, TX.

SAN SABA EDC ANNOUNCES NEW WATER PARK

June 6, 2023

San Saba, Texas (June 2023) – The San Saba Economic Development Corporation has begun work on a new splash pad. After closing the public swimming pool over five years ago due to foundation concerns, the City of San Saba had been looking for a budget-friendly replacement. The option of a splash pad won the community’s heart, and the project was given to the city’s Economic Development Corporation. The new park will be named after former city manager, Stan Weik, for his efforts toward making the splash pad a reality. The EDC anticipates breaking ground on the new project in August and plans to open the park in May 2024. Financing for the improvements was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas and a partial grant through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

MARCOLA SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF NEW TRANSPORTATION FACILITY

April 5, 2023

Marcola, OR (March 2023) – Marcola School District announces the completion of a new transportation facility, a meaningful step toward self-sufficiency for the rural school district. The “bus barn” is built on the land known as “The Farm” which is used by the district’s agriculture program. The original plan for the facility was formed in 2019 after the district completed the transaction for “The Farm,” however, the timing was not yet right for the project to begin. Three years later, with the community’s support, the district was ready to build the facility. Construction was completed in March 2023, and financing for both “The Farm” and the “bus barn” were provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
