La Grulla, TX (October 2024) – The City of La Grulla announces the addition of a 2,000-gallon tanker to the fire department’s fleet. Delivered in May, the new apparatus has made a meaningful difference to the community as it provides a previously unavailable service. The city purchased the new tanker with a combination of funds from a Texas A&M Forest Service grant as well as financing from Government Capital Corporation of Southlake, Texas.
“I have worked with Government Capital previously here in La Grulla and formerly when I was Mayor for the City of Roma, and my experience with them has always been good,” stated Bobby Salinas, City Manager, City of La Grulla. “The folks at Government Capital are very responsive to our needs, and their expertise makes the financing process quick and easy. We’re grateful for our new equipment and the ability to finance it with Government Capital as it really helps us protect our community from fires in the future.”
“I want to congratulate Bobby Salinas and the City of La Grulla on this important addition to their fire department,” commented Matt Sullivan, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We are proud to partner with Texas cities in achieving their goals and objectives to protect and improve their communities.”
