ONO ISLAND WATER, SEWER AND FIRE PROTECTION AUTHORITY ANNOUNCE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FIRE STATION

 

Ono Island Water, Sewer & Fire Protection Authority, AL (March 2021) – The Ono Island Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority recently approved the construction of a new fire station on River Road in Orange Beach, Alabama. Construction of the fire station is expected to be completed in the next 9-12 months.  The 5,883 square foot station will include 2 apparatus bays, 6 dorm rooms, an office, an EMS Room, kitchen and living area as well as a training room.  McCollough Architecture, Orange Beach, Alabama was selected to provide the architectural design for the project.  MW Rogers Construction Company LLC, Mobile, Alabama will serve as the general contractor. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas. Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, Mobile, Alabama, served as bond counsel and provided all documentation and requisite legal opinion.

HUERFANO COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT PURCHASES NEW FIRE APPARATUS

Walsenburg, CO (September 2020) – Huerfano County Fire Protection District recently announced the August delivery of a new brush truck.  The Skeeter Type 5 truck offers the best of both worlds, a rugged off-road capable chassis combined with firefighting capabilities.  Gerald Jerant, Fire Chief stated, “Our members worked close with Skeeter and Front Range Fire Apparatus to locate a vehicle which meets the needs of our firefighters and allows them to respond quickly.  Huerfano County Fire Protection District is excited about the opportunity to put this vehicle to use in our communities.”

CROOKED RIVER RANCH RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF NEW HORTON AMBULANCE

Terrebonne, OR (March 2020) – Crooked River Ranch Rural Fire Protection District is proud to announce the purchase of a 2019 Horton Ambulance complete with Stryker loading equipment. This addition to the fleet will allow for shorter response time to the constituents. The department has scheduled an apparatus housing ceremony for April 25, 2020. Additionally, the ambulance will be on display at the Oregon Fire Chief’s Conference the last week of April. HAINES FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ACQUIRES NEW APPARATUS

Haines, Oregon (April 2019) – Haines Fire Protection District of Baker County Oregon recently announced the acquisition of a new water tender. The truck, manufactured by Ochoco Manufacturing Corporation (OMCO), holds 3,000 gallons and can pump up to 500 gallons per minute. The new tender is replacing a 1967 model. Haines Fire Protection District selected Government Capital Corporation as the most cost effective financing solution for the acquisition.

COMAL COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 3 ANNOUNCES TWO NEW IDENTICAL FIRE STATIONS

Canyon Lake, Texas (February 2019) Comal County Emergency Services District No. 3 will be adding two identical fire stations by the 2nd quarter of 2020. One station will be on FM 306 near Purgatory Rd. and the other on S. Cranes Mill Rd. near Hwy 46, both in the New Braunfels area of their jurisdiction. The two new stations will be identical in size and design at approximately 8100 square feet with two stacked bays. Brown, Reynolds and Watford Architects of Dallas, Texas were selected by the District to provide design plans. Government Capital Corporation was selected as the most cost effective financing solution. ESD No. 3 has also engaged AGCM, Inc., a construction management firm with a history of working in the client’s best interest and finding ways to resolve even the toughest issues, to assist with the design phase and then construction phase of this project.

ELBERTA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ORDERS TWO NEW PUMPER TRUCKS

Elberta, Alabama (January 2019) – The Elberta Volunteer Fire Department recently announced the order of two E-One commercial 4-door pumper trucks. Sunbelt Fire of Fairhope, Alabama is building the new additions. The pumper trucks have an anticipated delivery date of May 2019. Elberta VFD selected Government Capital Corporation as the most cost-effective financing option for the new trucks.

The Elberta Volunteer Fire Department was incorporated as an IRS designated not for profit 501©3 organization in October of 2013. The Fire Department is funded by a share of a one and one half mill ad valorem tax assessed on property in Baldwin County. The funding is divided among 37 volunteer fire departments in the county.

The Elberta German Sausage Festival is a bi-annual fundraiser for the Elberta VFD and attracts approximately 30,000 people per festival. The festival has over 200 arts and crafts booths.
