Walsenburg, CO (September 2020) – Huerfano County Fire Protection District recently announced the August delivery of a new brush truck. The Skeeter Type 5 truck offers the best of both worlds, a rugged off-road capable chassis combined with firefighting capabilities. Gerald Jerant, Fire Chief stated, “Our members worked close with Skeeter and Front Range Fire Apparatus to locate a vehicle which meets the needs of our firefighters and allows them to respond quickly. Huerfano County Fire Protection District is excited about the opportunity to put this vehicle to use in our communities.”
Government Capital Corporation, Southlake Texas provided the financing for the fire apparatus.
