Little Elm, Texas (August 22, 2017) – Little Elm Economic Development Corporation (EDC) announced the addition of Texas First Rentals to the Town of Little Elm. Texas First Rentals is the nationwide rental division of HOLT CAT (www.texasfirstrentals.com) and is anticipating an opening date of April, 2018.

The approximately 10,000 square foot building to be occupied by Texas First Rentals will include 3,000 square feet of sales offices and 7,000 square feet of service shop and retail space. The facility will be located on 10.3 acres east of Holt drive on U.S. Highway 380. Texas First Rentals’ partnership with Little Elm EDC will create 30 jobs and increase sales tax revenue for the city.

Government Capital Corporation based in Southlake, Texas, was chosen to finance the $3 million project. At the end of the 25 year financing term, ownership of the building will pass to Texas First Rentals.

Italy, Texas (Summer 2017) – Italy Independent School District announced the implementation of energy conservation measures for its campuses including state-of-the-art LED lighting. Government Capital Corporation was chosen as the financing partner for the $305,000 project.

The primary source of repayment for the Public Property Finance Act Contract used will be the energy savings from the new lighting. The projected savings will provide the school district additional positive cash flow for the duration of the contract and for many years beyond.

Energy project reduces operational costs for district

Southlake, Texas. (May 17, 2017) Government Capital Corporation, a leading provider of financing for Texas school districts, announced today the funding of a $2.8 million energy conservation project financing for Wills Point Independent School District. The structure utilized energy savings as the primary source of repayment and did not require a bond election.

“The mission of the school board includes providing safe and efficient facilities. We worked for many months to develop this project and are confident it will reduce our utility costs and improve the learning environment for our students.” stated Scott Caloss, Superintendent of Schools for Wills Point ISD. “Government Capital provided a competitive financing structure which saved the district thousands of dollars when compared to other alternatives.”

The financing structures utilized by Government Capital are authorized under state borrowing authorities for all public school districts and offer access to low, tax-exempt interest rates through Government Capital’s resources in the capital markets.

Texas Independent School District Launches Energy Conservation Project

Desoto, Texas (August 2017) – DeSoto Independent School District announced the implementation of an energy conservation project which will include retrofitting or replacing lights, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and controls. The $5 million undertaking was financed by Government Capital Corporation.

As a result, the energy savings from the new equipment and controls will provide the primary source of repayment for the Public Property Finance Act Contract. In addition, the anticipated savings will offset the debt service for the life of the contract.

Bobby Laborde, Chief Financial Officer of DeSoto ISD stated, “Government Capital’s process was straightforward. Securing the funds for this project could have been very complex. GCC made it simple and clear.” 

“Upgrades and improvement of educational facilities create comfortable places for students to learn and staff to teach. New Fire Trucks in Natchitoches District No. 4

Provencal, Louisiana (August 2017) – The Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District No. 4 announced the order of three 3000 gallon pumper/tanker trucks manufactured by Fouts Bros Fire Equipment of Smyrna, GA. The 2018 model year trucks replace three trucks with model years ranging from 1982 to 1986. The new apparatus will be placed in service early next year. The District selected a tax exempt lease purchase contract structured by Government Capital Corporation as the most cost effective option for financing the purchase.

 

“The 12 year term provided by Government Capital Corporation allowed us the budget flexibility to afford three badly needed trucks. Additionally, the financing structure permitted us to avoid the cost and delay associated with traditional debt financing,” stated James Dupree, Assistant Fire Chief for the District.

Created in 1982, Natchitoches Fire District No. 4 is located in the southwest corner of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. The service area encompasses a population of approximately 1,600 and a service coverage area of over 305 square miles. Bexar Fire Station Financed by Government Capital

Emergency Service District No. 11 introduces Fire and Rescue Station No. 1

CONVERSE, TEXAS (July 2017) ‐ Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 11 announced today the approval and upcoming groundbreaking of their new of $3.2 million fire and rescue facility. The new station will be located at the northwest corner of Binz‐ Engleman Road and Texas Palm Drive.

With approximately 7,811 square feet to be developed on 2.161 acres, the building will include two bays for fire/emergency vehicles, a fully equipped living area, five rooms for fire and emergency personnel, offices, a conference room, and an area for all necessary emergency operations support items. The anticipated opening is Summer 2018.

“The financing structure provided by Government Capital Corporation allowed ESD 11 to save approximately $30,000 in closing costs as compared to a traditional real estate financing. It also eliminated the me and expenses associated with traditional real estate appraisal requirements and title policies,” stated John True, President of the Board of Directors for Bexar County ESD No. 11.

Gabriel Perez, President of Perez Project Consulting, Inc., provided consulting expertise throughout the development, planning and approval process for the City of San Antonio. Mr. Perez commented, “Our partnership with GCC was vital to our project’s success. Their experience allowed the project to proceed with great efficiency.”

Established May 2008, Bexar County ESD No. 11 contracts with the City of Kirby to provide firefighting and emergency response for northeast Bexar County, serving approximately 8,000 homes and businesses.
