Memphis, TX (February 2024) – Memphis ISD is nearing the completion of their two-phase field house project. The first phase of the project began with construction in 2022. Today, the district has begun phase two of the project – furnishing the 5,000 square foot facility with equipment including lockers, weight machines, whirlpools, and more. The previous 3,500 square foot field house served the district for close to 100 years. Construction of the new field house is anticipated to be completed by the end of April 2024. Both phases of the project were financed by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
“We are very thankful to have partnered with Government Capital on both the construction and the furnishing of our new field house,” stated Bill Alexander, Superintendent, Memphis ISD. “The team was very knowledgeable, efficient, and great to work with throughout the financing process.”
“I want to congratulate Bill Alexander and Memphis ISD on their new field house and furnishings,” commented Marti Sauls, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We take great pride in assisting Texas school districts with projects that enable them to better provide for their students.”
