Hubbard, Texas (June 2024) – The Hubbard Economic Development Corporation (Hubbard EDC) announces the beginning of a community revitalization project on a corner property in the city’s historic downtown. The corner site has been used for various pop-up shops and restaurants over the years and will now provide a permanent home to local businesses looking to grow or set up a storefront. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of this summer, and tenants are expected to begin moving in throughout the fall. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
“We’re grateful to have partnered with Government Capital on this project,” stated Jason Patrick, City Manager, Hubbard EDC. “The team was very professional and supportive, and their expertise was evident throughout the financing process.”
“I would like to congratulate Jason Patrick and the Hubbard EDC on beginning this project and on the progress they’ve made in growing and improving the City of Hubbard,” stated Matt Sullivan, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “Government Capital is proud to partner with Texas Economic Development Corporations to support and promote Texas communities.”
