FRANKLIN, LA (November 28, 2017) – The City of Franklin announced today their successful funding of equipment additions for the City’s public works department. The new equipment will replace existing equipment that had been in service approximately 15 years.
The City selected the Louisiana Municipal Advisory and Technical Services Bureau (LaMATS) cooperative lease purchase program administered by Government Capital Corporation (GCC) as the most economical financing solution. “The process was straightforward, and a quick, easy, cost-effective method to finance much needed equipment. Government Capital Corporation made the process smooth. They walked me through each step of the process and responded quickly to our questions and needs so that the funding was completed in a timely manner,” stated Franklin Mayor Raymond Harris, Jr.
LaMATS Executive Director Cliff Palmer stated, “When any municipality is considering a lease-purchase of moveable equipment, our cooperative lease purchase program with Government Capital is a great option.”
