Electra, TX (February 2023) – Electra Independent School District announces the construction of three new tennis courts. The courts are the first step in a multi-phase project to outfit the district’s high school campus with updated and renovated facilities. The previous tennis courts had been repurposed to house portable buildings and will next be the site of a new gymnasium. The current project is underway, and the courts are expected to be completed in time for the 2023-24 tennis season. The courts will be available to the district’s students as well as to members of the community. M & F Litteken Co. is the general contractor for the project, and financing was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
“Having partnered together on multiple projects since 2009, Government Capital Corporation has always been great to work with,” commented Ted West, Superintendent, Electra Independent School District. “Their team’s experience shows in how they have provided us with unique financing options and programs to meet our needs.”
“I would like to congratulate Ted West and the Electra Independent School District Board on beginning the first phase of the renovation program,” stated Matt Sullivan, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “It is truly an honor and pleasure to work with Texas schools to help them meet their goals and objectives.”
