The City of Post, TX (January 2021) – The City of Post announces the recent acquisition of AMI water meters and maintenance equipment upgrades. The AMI water meter project includes the installation of 1,692 water meters and is scheduled to be completed in March. The water system design and implementation were provided by KW Sharp, Lubbock, Texas. Upgrades also included a John Deer 2010D E Four Tire Ejector Scraper, a BOMAG Landfill Compactor as well as a John Deer 524L Wheel Loader, all provided by Yellow House Machinery Company, Lubbock, Texas. “The upgrade in the water meters will allow the city to accurately and more efficiently provide service to customers, stated Deana Smith. “The heavy equipment was purchased to replace outdated and aged equipment.”
Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas provided the financing for both acquisitions.
