Coos Bay, OR (April 2022) – The Charleston Rural Fire Protection District announces the acquisition of a new apparatus. The new Pierce Saber Fire Engine will replace a Pierce Arrow vehicle which was in service for over 31 years. The new engine is anticipated to be delivered by the end of June. Financing for the acquisition was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
“Government Capital Corporation provided us with a great interest rate and payment plan for the purchase of our new engine,” commented Michael Sneddon, Fire Chief, Charleston Rural Fire Protection District. “Government Capital’s ability to complete the financing within three weeks, allowed our department to order our truck prior to a $50,000 price increase. My staff and I greatly appreciate the work by the staff at Government Capital.”
“Congratulations to Chief Sneddon and the Charleston Rural Fire Protection District on this acquisition,” stated Jana Jay, Municipal Finance Specialist, Government Capital Corporation. “We take great pride in providing financing agreements which enable first responders to better serve their communities.”
