East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue Approaches Station Completion

March 25, 2026

Toledo, OR (March 2026) – East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue nears the grand opening of the Eddyville Fire Station. As the District’s service area has grown over the years, so has the need for a more centralized emergency services location. In 2004, the District received property for the new station via a donation and began working toward solidifying building plans and securing funding. After receiving a grant in 2021, the District set their plans into motion to build the new station. Due to various time delays and cost overruns, the District partnered with Government Capital Corporation to secure the necessary funding to complete the construction project.

The new station will serve as the headquarters for East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue, meet daily emergency services needs, and function as a command post for any major incidents in the area. The facility is outfitted with dorm rooms to allow for 24-hour staffing, includes 1,300 square feet of storage space for disaster preparedness supplies, and is a designated meeting place and shelter for the public.

“Our financial need arose due to cost overruns beyond our control. Despite our best efforts to incorporate value engineering, the project quickly outmatched our finances. Government Capital was essential in securing the remaining funds we needed,” William Ewing, Fire Chief at East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue, shared. “The financing process was simple and complete, and despite our compressed timeframe, Government Capital was expeditious and ensured we had the ability to meet our needs.”

“I want to congratulate Chief Ewing and East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue on their successful station construction project,” Jana Jay, Fire District Finance Specialist at Government Capital Corporation, shared. “We take great pride in partnering with Oregon Fire & Rescue districts to support them in achieving their goals of providing critical emergency services to their communities.”
