Boling ISD Announces Campus-Wide Energy Efficiency Project

May 20, 2026

Boling, TX (May 2026) – Boling ISD is launching a campus-wide energy efficiency HVAC and lighting upgrade. Following an assessment of the campus’ aging infrastructure, multiple HVAC units were identified as nearing the end of their useful life. The district determined that a comprehensive energy savings project would best address their current needs and support future operational efficiency.

The project will replace and modernize all outdated HVAC equipment, install window film to reduce heat gain, and upgrade lighting fixtures campus-wide with lower energy consumption bulbs. The energy efficiency project will begin at the end of the school year and is expected to be completed by the end of July.  Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

Medford Public Schools Completes District-Wide Solar Panel Installation

April 29, 2026

Medford, OK (April 2026) – Medford Public Schools announces the completion of a district-wide solar panel installation project. As energy costs climbed for the District, the school board diligently looked for ways to significantly decrease costs over time. The utilization of solar panels to offset daily energy usage will produce meaningful and sustainable cost savings for the district. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

VILLAGE OF GREENUP TO UPGRADE ELECTRIC, GAS AND WATER METERS

  Village of Greenup, Illinois (July 2021) – The Village of Greenup announces the upgrade of electric, gas and water meters and the related Automatic Meter Infrastructure. “This upgrade will allow meters to be read and monitored in real time by the user and the city,” stated Kay Hornbeck, Village of Greenup Treasurer. “These meters will allow for more efficiency and conservation while improving service to our customers.” Project design and installation was provided by Honeywell International, Inc. Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas was selected as the most cost-effective financing solution for the project.

WILLOW PARK TO UPGRADE WATER METERS

June 7, 2021

City of Willow Park, Texas (April 2021) – The City of Willow Park is announcing the upgrade of 2,020 water meters and the related Automatic Meter Infrastructure.  The project is underway and is scheduled to be completed in the next few months.  “This upgrade will allow meters to be read and monitored in real time by the user and the city, stated Bryan Grimes, Willow Park City Administrator.  “These smart meters will quickly detect leaks and high-volume water use allowing for more efficiency and conservation while improving service to our customers.”  Project design and installation was provided by Aqua Metric Sales Company, Selma, Texas. Lexington ISD Goes LED!

Upgrades Lighting to LED

Lexington, Oklahoma (January 23, 2017) – Lexington Independent School District No. 57 announced that LED lighting upgrades are currently being installed throughout its district facilities. Other school districts who have utilized the lighting for an extended period of time report that switching to LED lighting creates a positive effect on student behavior and reduces tension headaches of staff.

Lexington ISD chose the tax-exempt lease purchase offering by Government Capital Corporation (GCC) as the most cost-effective way to finance the project. This financing mechanism covered equipment, installation and ancillary costs associated with the upgrade. Government Capital finances energy conservation project for Wills Point ISD

Energy project reduces operational costs for district

Southlake, Texas. (May 17, 2017) Government Capital Corporation, a leading provider of financing for Texas school districts, announced today the funding of a $2.8 million energy conservation project financing for Wills Point Independent School District. The structure utilized energy savings as the primary source of repayment and did not require a bond election.
