Caney Creek Municipal Utility District Announces Meter Infrastructure Upgrades

Sargent, TX (August 2026) – Caney Creek Municipal Utility District announces the implementation of a new AMI system. The District began the project to address constituent desires for an upgraded water metering system that will allow for the timely identification and recapture of water loss as well as increased efficiency for the District. The first phase of the installation has been completed, updating 280 meters. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation in Southlake, Texas.

Muskogee Public Schools Announces Chiller System Upgrade

Muskogee, OK (August 2026) – Muskogee Public Schools announces the acquisition of a new chiller system. The district’s existing two chillers have been in service for thirty years and provide cooling for the high school campus including classrooms, the cafeteria, and administrative offices. The new chillers have been ordered, and installation is scheduled after the current cooling season comes to an end. The upgraded system is expected to be fully operational by the spring of 2027. City of Granbury Announces Utility Equipment Acquisitions

Granbury, TX (August 2026) – The City of Granbury announces the acquisition of new heavy equipment for the electric and wastewater departments. The equipment for the electric department will be utilized to safely install, maintain, and repair electrical infrastructure throughout the city. The equipment for the wastewater department will replace outdated equipment and will be used to service 47 lift stations and two wastewater treatment plants.

Bay City CDC Celebrates Aquatic Center Groundbreaking

Bay City, TX (August 2026) – After years of careful planning, the Bay City Community Development Corporation, the City of Bay City, Matagorda County, and the YMCA celebrate the groundbreaking of their landmark aquatic center. The project came about through Wellness Matagorda, an organization started in Matagorda County to help residents live healthier lives. Wellness Matagorda first created a Wellness Dome through their partnership with the hospital, offering a gym and therapy space to residents, followed by a walking trail. The aquatics center was the final phase of the project, made possible by the public private partnership between Bay City CDC and the YMCA.

Located adjacent to the Bay City Civic Center, the Aquatic Center will provide the county’s first year-round public aquatics center, offering safe, accessible opportunities for recreation, fitness, competitive swimming, and lifesaving water safety education. The Aquatics Center will feature an indoor pool for year-round use, an outdoor recreation pool, and spaces designed to support swim instruction, aquatic fitness, and competitive athletics.

While the Center will provide valuable recreational opportunities, its primary purpose is to improve water safety and community wellness. As a coastal county, Matagorda County faces an ongoing need for accessible swim instruction and water safety education. Through YMCA programming, the Center will offer swim lessons, water safety education, lifeguard certification, and more.

Groundbreaking on the site took place July 20^th followed swiftly by the start of construction. The outdoor sections of the Center are anticipated to be completed in the Summer of 2027, followed by completion of the indoor sections in the Fall of 2027. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.

Jack CAD Announces Facility Acquisition and Renovation

Jacksboro, TX (July 2026) – Jack County Appraisal District announces the acquisition of a 2,400 square foot facility. Due to the District’s current office building aging and requiring various repairs, the Board of Directors determined acquiring a new building would be the most efficient and cost-effective step forward.

The new facility is currently configured as a warehouse but will be converted into office and boardroom space for the District. Renovations are expected to be completed over the summer for the staff to move in by the fall.
