Klamath Falls, OR (February 2024) – Klamath Falls City Schools announces the completion of the first phase of its school bus fleet replacement plan. Five new buses, which meet Oregon’s new emissions standards, are replacing aging models built prior to 2007 within the existing fleet. The new buses were delivered at the end of 2023 and have begun running daily routes. The district plans to replace the remaining aged buses within the coming year. The buses were purchased from Western Bus, and financing for the acquisition was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, TX.
“Partnering with Government Capital on this project was a phenomenal experience,” stated Daymond Monteith, Director of Operations, Klamath Falls City Schools. “I have worked through several bus purchases in my tenure, and this was by far the most streamlined acquisition yet.”
